WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH US TO CREATE A NEW AUDIO PROJECT?
We are collaborating with researchers at the University of Bristol to create a new audio piece about loss which will be premiered at the Good Grief Festival. We are looking for people who have experience of grief after a bereavement to attend one three three-hour long workshop, either in Bristol or Gosport. During the workshop an experienced creative facilitator will work with groups of six to create a story that explores the varied and volatile emotions that occur when we are grieving. The story will be fictional and inspired by the death of a beloved tree in an old village. Guided by the creative facilitator, the workshop participants will work together to create the world of the story, its characters, history, and how they feel about the tree. The workshops will be audio-recorded, and then cut together to create an audio piece. Following the project, we will organize focus groups to discuss your experiences of participating in the workshop. That conversation will take place on Zoom and will take no longer than an hour and a half. Details If you take part in the workshop, your voice is likely to be featured in the piece, but you won’t be named unless you wish to be. Participants must be over 18 and the death of your loved one needs to have taken place at least one year prior. Fee You will be paid £75 for the workshop plus £5 expenses. Dates and location Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd September. 10am - 1pm. Bristol. Thursday 8th September. 10am - 1pm. Gosport. Please email hannah@crowdedroom.org.uk to express your interest. |
