Donate to The Listening RoomRestorative justice can have a transformative effect. Reoffending rates after participants have been through the process have been shown to drop by at least 17%, while a number of reports have pointed to an 800% return on investment for every £1 spent.
In 2013, Meridian Square in Stratford in East London, which is a three minute walk from the theatre, was named as the country’s worst crime hotspot with an average of 6.7 offences a day. And now we have been offered the opportunity to take our critically acclaimed play, about restorative justice, 'The Listening Room' to Theatre Royal Stratford East for a three week run in September 2017 and to HMP Grendon for a special one off performance. We are currently seeking donations and sponsorship opportunities to extend our outreach work alongside the play. We want to make a lasting impact on the community and to reach victims and offenders of crime. Your donation will help us run workshops and offer discounted tickets to the show as well as enable us to extend our offer to bring The Listening Room to prisons, pupil referral units and schools up and down the country. Please use the contact form below if you have any questions or comments. Or please use the donation link on this page. Thank you. |
